3. B.Sc. Agriculture — 10 Economical Activities
This group can be particularly strong for KGI because many activities can be conducted using local farms, KGI land, nearby farmers and agricultural resources rather than expensive laboratories.
| Activities | Month | Activity Hours | Resources | Faculty Involvement | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Soil Health Observation & Testing | Aug | 6 | Soil samples, basic kit | 2 Faculty | Soil-health awareness |

4. B.A., B.Com & B.Sc. Agriculture — Joint KGI Activities
I strongly recommend that KGI mix students from different courses for some activities. This develops teamwork and allows students to learn from one another.
| Activities | Month | Activity Hours | Resources | Faculty Involvement | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| KGI Clean & Green Campus | Aug | 3 | Existing tools | 4 Faculty | Social responsibility |
| Digital Literacy for Community | Sep | 4 | Computer Lab | 3 Faculty | Digital inclusion |

| KGI Student Innovation Mela | May | 8 | Student projects | All Faculty | Creativity + confidence |
A particularly useful KGI model
For these economically weaker students, I would introduce a “Learn–Earn–Serve” model:
B.A. → Learn & Serve
Community survey → documentation → literacy/social awareness.
B.Com → Learn & Earn
Accounting → digital payments → entrepreneurship → small-business skills.
B.Sc. Agriculture → Learn & Grow
Seed → soil → cultivation → farm produce → marketing.
Then bring them together:
Agriculture students produce → B.Com students calculate/market → B.A. students document/promote.
For example, a small KGI Nutrition/Vegetable Garden could become a multidisciplinary project:
B.Sc. Agriculture: grow vegetables
↓
B.Com: calculate cost, pricing and profit
↓
B.A.: conduct community awareness/documentation
↓
Home Science: nutrition value/recipes
↓
BCA: create digital poster/social-media promotion
This creates a very low-cost but high-impact interdisciplinary activity, and one project can generate substantial academic, community-service and IQAC/NAAC evidence.
